Dr. Jeremy GoodmanBoard-certified urologist

I’m Jeremy Goodman, a urologist first and foremost

I’m board-certified, and I trained at Stanford, UCSF and the University of Wisconsin before two years of operating in South Georgia. I also competed as a bodybuilder. Now I’m opening Goodman Longevity, a men’s health and longevity practice in Los Angeles.

Telehealth in California and Georgia from late November. In person in Los Angeles from December.

How I got here

I decided to become a doctor at 13, the day I found my grandfather’s medical textbooks at home. He was a physician and a geneticist. I never met him.

Stanford, then a few years in tech

I grew up in California and went to Stanford, where I did the premed track and a BA in Human Biology. I did research there and published as an undergraduate.

After I graduated I didn’t go straight to medical school. I spent three years in Silicon Valley, first at a biotech company and then at a tech startup, to make sure medicine was what I wanted. By the end of it I was sure.

Medical school at UCSF

I started at the University of California, San Francisco set on becoming an orthopedic surgeon, and I did orthopedic research to get there. Then my rotations put me in operating rooms doing robotic surgery, and I started spending time with the urologists.

Urology gave me an operating room, and it also gave me time to sit down with a man and talk through his problem. It was those conversations with patients that made me switch from orthopedics to urology. I finished my MD in 2019, with research on prostate cancer imaging, kidney stones and prostate surgery along the way.

Residency at the University of Wisconsin

I matched into urology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and spent five years there, finishing in the summer of 2024. Residency is where you learn the whole specialty. That means kidneys, bladder and prostate, stones and cancer, incontinence and pediatric urology, plus the men’s health that drew me in.

The photo of me half in my UW Health lab coat is from those years.

Two years in South Georgia

After residency I spent two years as a urologic surgeon in South Georgia. It was bread and butter urology, mostly kidney stone surgery and cancer surgery, with more and more men’s health over time.

That’s where I started doing penile filler. Men found me through my own marketing and the videos I made, and that’s how most of my filler patients came in. For a urologist this anatomy is everyday work. I know the blood supply and the nerves, and how both change with erections and with age.

Bodybuilding and training

I competed as a bodybuilder and worked as a personal trainer, and I’ve studied nutrition for a long time. I know what hard training and strict diets do to the body, and the shortcuts men take to get there, because I’ve lived in that world.

When you bring up energy, recovery, body composition or testosterone, I can talk about your training and your diet as well as the prescription.

Los Angeles, now

Now I’m back in California, opening Goodman Longevity for men in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. Telehealth consults start in late November 2026 and in-person visits start in December. Clinic address to be announced.

The practice is small. It’s me and a part-time office manager, and I keep the number of patients low so every visit can run a full hour. It’s cash pay with no insurance, and there’s a concierge membership for men who want their doctor on call. Financing is available through CareCredit and Cherry.

Why I’m opening my own practice

In Los Angeles, most penile filler is done by plastic surgeons who dabble in it, and most testosterone comes from TRT mills, where a nurse practitioner starts the hormones and can’t handle much beyond that. I think a man should have a doctor who sits down with him and explains what’s going on.

That’s the practice I’m building in Los Angeles. You see me at every visit, and every visit runs a full hour. I keep the practice low volume so I never have to rush anyone. I’ll lay out your options plainly and lead you through the one you choose, safely. I’m never trying to sell anyone on anything.

Penile filler is a good example. Think lip filler 15 years ago. A lot of men are curious, and there’s very little good information online. Of the handful of providers doing it in greater Los Angeles, only two of us are urologists. I’m not going to charge anybody for an expensive procedure until we’ve at least talked about it, so the consult is free. Every man gets screened first, and if filler isn’t right for you, I’ll tell you. Men under 30 get a longer conversation before anything else.

I also see sexual health as one of the first places a man’s health shows trouble. Erections, sperm and hormones often warn about the heart and blood vessels early, which is why my longevity care starts there.

All of it is private. The practice is cash pay, nothing on this site is explicit, and I show before-and-after photos only in person, at your visit. Medicine to me is about quality of life as much as saving lives. If I help a man pee better or feel better about his body, that counts.

You can book a consult or text a question, and I’ll take it from there.

I tell this story on the first episode of my show

In episode 1 of The Gentleman’s Vault I talk about my grandfather’s textbooks and why I switched from orthopedics to urology. I started the show because men are self-conscious about things they have no place to talk about, and I wanted to give them one.

A new weekly podcast on men’s intimate health is coming to the same YouTube channel.

Questions about me

Who is Dr. Jeremy Goodman?

I’m a board-certified urologist and the founder of Goodman Longevity, a doctor-led men’s health and longevity practice in Los Angeles. I trained at Stanford, UCSF and the University of Wisconsin, spent two years as a urologic surgeon in South Georgia, and competed as a bodybuilder.

Where did Dr. Goodman train?

I got a BA in Human Biology at Stanford and worked in Silicon Valley for three years. Then I got my MD at UCSF in 2019 and finished my urology residency at the University of Wisconsin in 2024.

Is Dr. Goodman board-certified?

Yes. I’m certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. You can confirm it in the board’s public physician verification search, and you can check my California license, A 206108, with the Medical Board of California.

Is Dr. Jeremy Goodman related to Dr. Jake Goodman?

No. I’m a urologist in Los Angeles. Dr. Jake Goodman is a psychiatrist with his own practice. We’re different doctors, and we aren’t related.

Why did he choose urology over orthopedics?

I went to UCSF planning to be an orthopedic surgeon and did orthopedic research. Then I spent time with the urologists. Urology let me operate and also sit down with a patient and talk through his problem, and I fell for men’s health. Those conversations with patients are what made me switch.

Who will I actually see at Goodman Longevity?

Me. Every consult and every visit at Goodman Longevity is with me, and my part-time office manager handles the rest. Visits run a full hour.

Where and when can I see Dr. Goodman?

By telehealth anywhere in California and Georgia from late November 2026, and in person in Los Angeles from December 2026. I’m licensed in both states. The practice is cash pay, and financing is available through CareCredit and Cherry. See the ways to book a consultation.

Start with a consult, or send a question by text.

The penile filler consult is free. Longevity consults and in-person evaluations are paid. Either way you talk to me.
